Last night was a classical example of how my girls go
against ‘normal’ ideas and trends, leaving me shaking my head and wondering if
they’re just crazy.
It was a 30oC night in Melbourne. Essentially, it
was stinking hot throughout the evening and night, not the best for sleeping in.
After their evening bath, the girls were left to their own devices but told to
put on their pyjamas. Upon checking on them and organising them to brush their
teeth and read a bedtime story, we found out that they had chosen to wear
winter pyjamas, with long sleeves and long pants. The little one was even
wearing a set of pyjamas that she had refused to wear throughout winter (that
her grandmother had bought because they looked so nice and warm)!
They both refused to change into more summery PJ’s and spent
the (sweltering) night in their long pants. Husband made them take off their tops when they complained about the heat.
